Supporting organizations and providers to adopt antiracist practices that promote racial equity and healing...

Why We Focus on Antiracism?

Racism is widespread and central to our Society's most profound and persistent patterns of social inequities, exclusions, and divisions. Addressing racism is a mental health priority. Central to racism's impact is emotional, psychological, and physical pain. As a result, racial trauma is a tumultuous and emotionally taxing experience faced by Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color (BIPOC) daily.

How Does Racism Impact Our World?

There is a fine line between acknowledging mental health struggles, resourcing its sufferers, and gas-lighting entire groups of people by pretending that there is something maladaptive about their responses to injustice. Our work begins with a commitment to search ourselves, as individuals, as organizations, and to identify, name and directly confront our own silence and inaction.

How Do We Do This?

It takes practice, partnering, learning, and leadership. All our efforts must strive to achieve race equity so that all children have the same opportunity to reach the potential that we know they have! If we expect to help children and families succeed, we must do more than close the gaps. Learn more about our project and how organizations and providers alike can adopt an anti-racist/anti-oppressive lens in work with Black and Latinx children, youth, families and communities.
